Tristan Claus 09/331.32.57

Tristan Claus has a Bachelor of Architecture (KULeuven, 2016) and a Master of Urban Design and Spatial Planning (KULeuven, 2018). His master thesis was about the influence of political service on spatial policy in Flanders (mayor planning), which resulted in an article in the magazine Ruimte & Maatschappij. Tristan also gained international experience during his many trips, a summer school in Riga (Riga Technical University) and an erasmus in Lisbon (ULisboa). He now works for the Belgian ESPON2020 contact point and URBACT contact piont at the AMRP UGent and as a researcher at the Research department of Architecture of the KULeuven Faculty of Architecture.

Tom Goosse 09/331.32.60

Tom Goosse has a Bachelor degree in Physical Geography (VUB, 2010) and a Master of Science in Geography (VUB, 2012) specialized in Terrestrial Ecosystems and Global Change.

As a researcher, he worked on different projects that focus on the integration of geophysical knowledge in Spatial Planning and on territorial development in the face of Climate Change. He works since February 2018 in the FRAMES-project, an Interreg North Sea Region project, that aims at increasing the resilience of flood prone areas through spatial planning, community resilience and recovery actions.

Tara Op de Beeck 09/331.32.59

Tara holds a master's in engineering architecture (KULeuven, 2013) and a master's in urban design and spatial planning (UAntwerpen, 2017). Previously she has worked as an intern at import-export and an urban designer at Blauwdruk Stedenbouw. She is experienced in research by design on various scales; ranging from feasibility studies at building block level to large-scale residential projects. She is currently working on territorial development at the Department of Environment and Spatial Planning. Her projects include increasing the resilience of the Lys and the spatial development of the city region of Ghent. Her experience working for both design offices and the government means that she is rooted in practice and has developed an ambitious but sensitive attitude in designing and project/process management.

Hanne Van Gils 09/331.32.60

Hanne is a scientific collaborator at AMRP and she is responsible for the European project "OpenHeritage". Here she can combine her experience with urban design, regional development, architecture and citizens' initiatives. Hanne obtained her Master in Architecture (2011, UAntwerp) and Master after Master in Human Settlements (2015, KULeuven). She worked as an architect and scenographer on the scale of the building, as an area development assistant at the Department of Environment and as a business developer at the communication agency DIFT. So she has experience with spatial development from various perspectives. She currently combines her work at UGent with Endeavour, an agency specialized in social, spatial planning.
